I don't know if he always does, but I believe I've seen him wear Pumas before, yes.
I also saw Virgil wear very thin sneakers too. If you like to be close to your pedal but also want the support of a shoe, I'd assume this is a good choice.

Pretty sure they are.
Yes, look for Puma Sparco, shoes for Formula 1.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">You probably don't want the Sparco ones, as they are made with fireproof material and cost a lot more. The regular Puma Speed Cat shoes are the same without the fire retardant lining.Originally posted by Rodge:

i have a couple of pairs and they are the most uncomfortable shoes ever. The soles are so thing that if your gonna be doing anymore than 15 minutes of walkingg you better not wear them cos they kill your feet.
they may serve a purpose in drumming but i usually just play with whatever i have on
The Formula One Puma is a good shoe for drumming. You can also go in any Martial Arts store and buy Kickboxing shoes. They are from the same concept as the Formula one shoes, but most of the time cheaper and in different styles. I had the Adidas Martial Arts, but I killed them after 2 years. :-(
Anyway, right now I just play with regular sneakers and I play as fast as with my 'superlight' shoes. I just don't know how Vinnie can play with hiking boots :-)
P.s> Dancing shoes are also very good for drumming...

I recall seeing Bozzio play with Doc Marten boots, and he was FLYING on his bass drums. It's all what you get used to.
No offence to anyone, but I've never been able to bear this whole "what shoes?" thing. As long as you are not in cement boots, then it really doesn't matter that much.
Well I've always played with only socks. I'm looking for somethnig so I dont have to be in my socks taking my shoes off and on all the time in the nasty bar
